Version 7.0.0 introduces External Term Mapping, enabling seamless integration between technical data assets (database columns, tables, and external catalog entities) and standardized business glossary terms.

Features Included

• Multi-Source Catalog Import: Import physical catalog schemas via flexible CSV uploads, native JSON project files, or OpenMetadata catalog connectors.
• Unified Links Section: Term details sidebar now features a dedicated Links section under the Details tab.
  • Clickable Links: Items with configured URL templates or manual overrides display external link icons to jump directly to external catalog assets.
  • Mapped Attribute Chips: Attributes mapped without external URL templates render as clear static chips indicating physical data mapping. For details, see Term Sidebar Documentation.
• Schema Drift Reconciliation: Detect and reconcile catalog schema changes (added/removed columns, data type shifts) against existing term mappings without losing verified work. For details, see Schema Drift Reconciliation How-to.
• Flexible Exporting: Export mapping deliverables directly to Excel (.xlsx), standalone JSON, or embedded .termboard project files.
