Quick start
1. Open the canvas
- Go to Termboard.com
- Click the "GET STARTED" button. You'll be presented with a blank canvas ready for your ideas.
2. Create a term
You have a few easy ways to add your initial element
Shortcut key
Press SHIFT and click anywhere on the blank canvas. A new term will appear, ready for you to name.
Context menu
Right-click anywhere on the canvas. In the menu that appears you have a few options:
- Select "Add term" and type the name for your term.
- Select "Paste as > Term name", this will create a term name based on your clipboard content.
- Select "Add multiple terms". This will open the bulk add sidebar
Drag and drop
Locate the small rectangle at the top of the page. Click and drag this rectangle onto the canvas. Now you can give it a name. Click without drag on this rectangle to select another shape.
3. Create a relation
To show how terms relate to each other follow these steps:
- Hover and Drag: Hover your mouse cursor over an existing term. You'll notice a circular up arrow appear.
- Establish the Link: Click and drag this up arrow from the originating term to the term you want to connect it to.
- Name the Relationship: A prompt will appear, allowing you to type in a descriptive name for the relationship between the two terms. Press Enter to finalize the connection.
